Learning Programme Design and Development Services

Instructional Design

We specialise in designing and developing tailor-made learning programme solutions suited to the work environment and market-specific needs it’s aimed at.  Do not settle for the cheap, regurgitated nonsense currently doing its rounds in the marketplace – this is a dangerous practice!

With safety standards becoming ever more intensive and invasive, manufacturers who take it upon themselves to teach others in the safe use of their products/equipment are obligated to ensure that any training given is meaningful and conducted by someone who is skilled in imparting such training to others.

This is where we come in!  We have already successfully helped many manufacturer’s navigate their way through the precarious safety-minefields helping them to reduce their risk as much as possible, so let us create a training solution that works!

“We will not only create an effective, value-adding learning programme for you but also train your staff to deliver it properly too.   When it comes to creating quality content, the Client needs someone who understands what they are doing in order to deliver an effective learning programme.”

How we go about designing your Learning Programme

Rest assured knowing that our learning programme designer and developer is suitably qualified, he has more than 20 years’ experience in the learning programme design and development field with a string of accredited learning programmes to his name which are used in our own organisation too.

In addition, he is also a qualified trainer, a trainer of trainers and a workplace skills assessor and moderator who actively trains and certifies operators of lifting, plant and other equipment across a diverse range of industries.

The “ADDIE” model is based on the concept of a five-phase approach to learning programme design and development.

“ADDIE” stands for Analyse, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate and the circular diagram represents the various stages, or a stepped approach, to creating a learning programme from start to finish.

This is the stage where we identify and define the needs of the Client and in turn the Learner who will be recipient of the programme – target audience.

This is the stage where the planning takes place.  Here we revise and refine the Client’s needs by setting realistic goals in order to best reach the target audience – a systematic approach used to address identified specific outcomes and related assessment criterions, exercises, assessment instruments, analysis of subject matter, lesson planning, media content and selection etc. (not necessarily in this order).

This is the stage where we set out and place the content created in the design stage.  Processes are reviewed, content is tested for potability to ensure the best method of delivery takes place and that the programme meets Client expectations.  The raw content is piloted to ensure functionality and the feedback is used to make the necessary adjustments.

Procedures for the training of competent trainers and learners are developed at this stage.  The procedures developed will assist trainers in successfully facilitating and delivering the learning programme to its target audience to demonstrate/achieve competency of the selected outcomes.

This is the stage where the programme is both formatively and summatively assessed or evaluated.  Formative evaluation takes place through the entire “ADDIE” process and processes refined at every stage.  Summative evaluation will test the mettle of the programme at specifically chosen stages, aimed to ensure that specific outcomes and assessment criterions are aptly delivered to the target audience encapsulating learning quality at its best in terms of the principles of good assessment.

Don’t Get Caught!

Almost every one of our Clients tell us how they wish they had known of us before wasting thousands and thousands of Rands on content made by people who do not even understand what they have created.  While we cannot do anything about the resources our Clients have wasted, we can certainly turn the bad experience into a good one with a product which exceeds their expectations.

Every learning programme we create is unique to each Client as we take the time to conduct a needs analysis beforehand.  We walk the path to completion and beyond with the Client to ensure we provide them with the right solution.
